Month of Thanks – Day 3

November 3 – I am thankful for my Nikon cameras and Nikkor lenses!  I must say that I appreciate this company for making quality cameras and lenses.  This equipment makes it possible for me to create stunning images to share with the world.  I am thankful that this company produces excellent equipment that allows me to be able to do something I love.

Photographs just sold to……

I have to admit that I was pretty excited to be contacted by the Federal  Office of Probation and Pretrial.  They told me that they liked my black and white photograph of the Capitol dome.  They were interested if I had any of the  older U.S. Court House.  I didn’t but told them I was willing to go take some.  So one picture lead to two, and then why not three.  So that is where I went to the new United States Court House and took some photographs of it.  I realized that I had other pictures that I just hadn’t posted publicly on my website.  So I moved those thinking WOW this is a trend maybe someone would like another photograph.  So that is what lead to them wanting the 4th photograph. That is when I got to thinking WOW my photographs would be on display in a FEDERAL office building.  Who wouldn’t just about jump over the moon with excitement.  It look almost everything I had not to post it like EVERYWHERE.  I didn’t keep it a complete secret, so I told a few people.  So the following are the photographs that were purchased and soon to be on display at the United States Court House on Lafayette Street across from the Missouri State Penitentiary.

The photograph of the Capitol dome is on display right now at the Art Bazaar in Downtown Jefferson City.

Old United States Court House

Before going to take this photograph, I never noticed that the columns are only on two sides of the building.

The NEW United States Court House

I have to say I love this building more and more.  There are so many details that you are just unable to see until you get close up to it.

I have to say this is one of my favorites.  I love the colors from the sunset. This photograph is on display at Capital Arts until September 22.  Which is tomorrow, but I will be moving it to The Art Bazaar if you would like to take a look at it in person.  That is if it hasn’t sold.  🙂

Hope you enjoyed this photographs.  Happy Hump day!
