So now to I am completely caught up. Hooray GOOO Me!
November 7th- On the seventh day there was black and white photography…oh how thankful I am for thee. I have always been a fan of black and white photographs even back in my film days. One of the things I love is how there are no colors to distract you from the purpose the photograph. Whether the subject is a portrait, landscape or architectural. You see all the little details that are sometimes lost in a color photograph.
So you can see the difference…the same image in color as in black and white.
November 8th – I am thankful for Color photographs today. They have a unique quality that is all their own if done properly. Just like with black and white photogrpahy there is a no one size fits all. The settings in the camera as well as the settings in your favorite program are what makes a GREAT color photograph. You have to look and see what you would like in a color photograph. So here is some of the many photographs that I love.
Over the weekend I attended the Great Pershing Balloon Derby which is right outside of Brookfield, MO. I must say that this was a great little event. Due to the wind only one balloon was able to launch and they stated that he was the world champion. I didn’t catch his name, but I was trying to scramble to get my camera up to my face because he had balloon inflated and up in the air before I knew it.
Some of the balloons were able to do the night glow but it was at their discretion because of the wind conditions. I have to say this was pretty cool and I will let you look at some of the shots. Enjoy.
By the way the next hot air balloon event in Missouri is in Forest Park in St Louis on September 16 – 18. If you are interested in the event check out their website for more details. Click the following link for their website http://www.greatforestparkballoonrace.com/.
Another cool link I have found for hot air balloons is Hot Air Balloon.com http://www.hotairballoon.com. They have links and information to hot air balloon events around the world.
